Administration and Finance Office is one of earliest departments in which work has started together with the opening of the Faculty of Agriculture in June 2015. Due to the limited facilities and lack of staff, except the staff member working at the treasury, the office was responsible for most of the work. In addition, the department lacked equipment and there was no building provided for this office or any of the other offices or department at the college. Despite the difficulties, work at the Administration and Finance Office started with archiving the college letters (in both hard copy and digital format) with the assistance of the Director of Information and Documentation Center at the Misurata University, who lent the department a desktop computer with an archival system.
In August 2015, the department and some of its staff moved to work in mobile offices outside the college main building. By March 2016, they finally moved to the renovated part of the college building and the enthusiastic and dedicated youth staff began the hard work at all of the college offices, cooperating faithfully with the faculty members. All of those efforts contributed to the development of the Faculty of Agriculture despite the limited facilities.
Administration and Finance Department is responsible for many tasks inside the college including staff related tasks from employment commencement to time and attendance and leaves as well as monitoring employees. The department is also responsible for communicating with the university administration and coordinating with departments and offices regarding administrative affairs and providing services for the college.
